Jennifer Lynn Lopez (July 24 born, in 1969 [1]), often nicknamed J. Lo, is an American actress, singer, producer, dancer, fashion designer and television producer. It is the richest person of Latin American descent in Hollywood according to Forbes, and most influential Spanish entertainer in the U.S. by People en Español List of "100 most influential Hispanics. Lopez began her career as a dancer in the television comedy program In Living Color. Jennifer Lopez was born and raised in South Bronx, New York to Puerto Rican parents Guadeloupe Rodriguez, a kindergarten teacher, and David Lopez, a computer specialist.
